Yes! We can provide a virtual tour on Facetime or Zoom or record your private tour to YouTube. For a donation of $50 per 30 minutes we are happy to provide a virtual tour to your school group or family. For school groups or educational tours we are happy to customize the tour based on your learning interests for that session.
Absolutely! If you are making a recurring donation and would prefer they are all combined into one payment, please contact us to set that up for you. We re a 501c3 so donations are tax deductible.
Your animal sponsor donation is combined with other donations to provide forever homes with healthy compassionate care to the abandoned, abused and/or neglected animals who reside permanently at our sanctuary. In the event of a resident’s death, your donation will continue to be applied to the care of our other residents. Your recurring donation will continue until you edit it or cancel it which allows for the most consistent care to our sanctuary residents.
Taking care of animals is an expensive long-term endeavor. Their care includes daily feedings, cleanings, grooming, vet care, and so much more. The general cost per animal can range from $100 to $600 per month and that does not include unusual medical care or medications. To provide lifelong homes to residents we must have the reliable funding available to do so. If you want to directly support the animals, please consider becoming an Animal Sponsor.
If you would like to help the Sanctuary sustain, build, and grow please support us as a Sanctuary Sponsor. Sponsoring the sanctuary provides funding for enclosure and habitat builds and repairs, property maintenance, emergencies and allows us the ability to grow and accept new residents. If you would like to directly support the stability and success of the sanctuary as a whole, please consider becoming a Sanctuary Sponsor.
If you have a heart for education or kids please consider donating to the SAVE scholarship fund. It is only with this scholarship fund that qualified students with families on a limited income can participate. If you would like to make a difference in the future of a child, please consider becoming a SAVE Sponsor.
If you are not in the position to make a financial contribution and/or have skills that would be a benefit to the animals, SAVE program, Sanctuary or School please consider becoming a volunteer .
Please visit the “How to Help” section of the website to receive more specific details on all of the ways you can help.
We have many volunteer opportunities within our organization. Please fill out the volunteer application in the “How to Help” section of the website and list all of the volunteer opportunities that are a good fit for you.
We are a sanctuary providing forever homes to our residents. In some cases, an animal may not be a fit for our sanctuary, or we are full, and we cannot accept them as a resident. In some cases, we will provide short-term holding as we work with our rescue/sanctuary partners to find a long-term placement for the animal in need.
We do keep a list of potential foster families on hand if we are in a situation where foster care is needed. If you are interested in being on our foster list, please fill out the volunteer application in the “How to Help” section of the website.
Sanctuary at Solid Rock does not breed, buy, sell, or trade animals. We do not capture animals from the wild.
Some of our animals have been surrendered by their pet owners, others confiscated by legal authorities, others sent away after being used for lab experiments, and others are rescued from slaughterhouses. Many come from inhumane and filthy captive situations with small unnatural cages and no medical care.
These animals need healing and the security of living the rest of their lives in a safe environment close to their natural habitat.
Our animal residents are not forced to be on display. They have the option to be indoors, outdoors, visible, or hidden. Their enclosures are built similar to their natural habitat with their safety, health and comfort as a priority.
We are a private educational campus for students of the SAVE program at Solid Rock Community School. S.A.V.E stands for Sanctuary for Animals and Veterinary Education.
We are a permitted wildlife rehabber. If an animal needing rehab falls into our scope and we have space available, we will happily provide services to that animal, and then release them back into their natural wild habitat. Rehabbing Wildlife gives our pre-vet and animal minded students real hands-on experience with urgent animal care overseen by our qualified staff.
We are not an animal rescue. We do not adopt animals out. Please contact one of the animal rescues listed on our Partners page to provide a forever home to an animal in need.
