The mission of the Sanctuary at Solid Rock is to provide forever homes with healthy compassionate care to the abandoned, abused and/or neglected animals who reside permanently at our sanctuary. Education and advocacy is a high priority of the Sanctuary at Solid Rock. We believe education is power and strive to provide our community with education and resources to ignite social change, advocate for institutional reforms, and end animal cruelty and exploitation. Through our SAVE Program (Sanctuary for Animals and Veterinary Education), we provide hands-on, humane education experiences that teach compassion, responsibility, and respect for all living beings. Participants gain practical skills in animal care while learning how kindness and stewardship create a more sustainable world for both people and animals. We work with and partner with other rescues and sanctuaries to find best placement and care for animals in need.
